OSHA training would consist of:
- Bloodborne Pathogen Standards (required annual training) OSHA-29cfr1910.1030/hiosh-chapter 205.1
- Hazard Communication (OSHA requirement: written hazard communication program) osha-29cfr 1910.1200/hiosh-chapter 203.1 New Hazard Communication information included in training mandatory for all dental staff by 12/1/2013
- Infection Control (OSHA requirement: the practitioner must understand the basic concept of exposure control and also incorporate these concepts into all relevant areas of the dental practice)
- Health , Fire & Safety Practice (OSHA requirement; emergency action plan must be communicated to all employees for safe evacuation when it becomes necessary (osha-1910.38/hiosh-chapter 71.1)
- Follow-up during the year by phone or on site,
- Phone assistance Monday thru Saturday- 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
- Representation during an OSHA inspection (by appointment only)
- New employee training within the first 8-10 days of hire
